It's still considered one of the greatest records ever made: Songs in the Key of Life. This groundbreaking Stevie Wonder album was released 50 years ago and has lost none of its power today. On this masterpiece, Stevie simply sounds at his very best. In 2025, the singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist will also celebrate his 75th birthday – a celebration that calls for! Trijntje Oosterhuis joined forces with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw to record the ultimate celebration of Stevie Wonder's life and work. The result is the direct-to-disc live album Love's in Need of Love Today, a beautiful snapshot of a room full of fantastic musicians. Trijntje and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw now bring this energy and craftsmanship to the stage.

                  Trijntje Oosterhuis and Stevie Wonder
For Trijntje Oosterhuis, Stevie Wonder was the inspiration to become a singer. A meeting with him when she was 19, which led to singing together backstage, was a life-changing experience for her. After the breakup of the successful band Total Touch in 1999, Trijntje drew inspiration from Songs in the Key of Life for her first Stevie Wonder tour. This tour, which took place 25 years ago, resulted in one of her best-selling albums.

The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw
The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw consists of world-class Dutch jazz musicians. The big band is among the top in Europe, has won multiple Edison Awards, and has previously collaborated with top musicians such as Chick Corea, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joshua Redman, and James Carter. The orchestra aims to make more than a century of (Dutch) jazz accessible to new generations, but also looks ahead and collaborates with contemporary (jazz) musicians from all over. With Trijntje Oosterhuis, they previously released the album "Wonderful Christmastime" on the renowned Blue Note label.
