Dutch Jazz Heritage: Sarah Vaughan ft. Madeline Bell

In the Dutch Jazz Heritage series, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, in collaboration with the Netherlands Jazz Archive, spotlights legendary (Dutch) jazz moments and artists. This time, the orchestra, along with American jazz and soul singer Madeline Bell, pays tribute to American jazz singer Sarah Vaughan. Sarah is considered one of the greatest in the genre. "A maddeningly beautiful concert," wrote NRC Handelsblad about her performance in Amsterdam in 1958, which this concert reflects on.
