Dutch Jazz Heritage: Sarah Vaughan ft. Madeline Bell

During the Dutch Jazz Heritage series, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw will put the spotlight on legendary (Dutch) jazz moments and jazz artists, in collaboration with the Dutch Jazz Archive. In this concert, the orchestra will pay tribute to American jazz singer Sarah Vaughan together with Madeline Bell. Vaughan was considered one of the greatest in the genre. ‘A maddeningly beautiful concert’, wrote NRC Handelsblad about her performance in the Concertgebouw in 1958, which is reflected on in this concert.
