                  The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw's main activity is giving jazz concerts. It generates income from concert entrance fees, donations and structural subsidies from the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and the Performing Arts Fund.

                  Objective from statutes:

                  The foundation aims to promote jazz in the Netherlands and abroad by maintaining the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw as a leading international jazz orchestra, with an orchestra line-up consisting solely of top musicians and led by an (inter)nationally renowned bandleader.
                  The foundation seeks to achieve this goal in a general sense by all legal means open to it and more specifically by:
                  making accessible and performing existing big band repertoire from the jazz canon and developing new repertoire for this line-up from its own identity and vision with an emphasis on cross-pollinations between new music and existing music, national and international artists;
                  stimulating and promoting young jazz talent;
                  participating in (jazz) festival and similar or related events, radio and TV performances, as well as supporting other responsible events at home and abroad.
